I would drive a car over him. I talk about his lazy eye. I tell people his business. His mom being an acholie and his dad a crack head. He used to be homeless. He's a pot head and nothing but a drug dealer. He'll never amount to anything. He's an in the closet homo. He has herpes. I really hate this guy. I hope that he burns in hell. I want him to kiss my behind. Am I gone to go to hell becuase of him and what is really happening? Do I have the right to blame him? Am I a bad person? I want to avoid him, I am scared of him. I think that he is really iggnorant and disrespectful. He's ugly, stinks, smells, he's trash. But yet I was with him. I was with him for all the bad reasons anyway. I understand that religion may imply that you have to observe some days and make some rituals, but even without those acts, the simple fact that you believe in something supernatural it makes people religious regardless of the fact that they avoid to be labeled. On the other hand, I read that mindless people call atheist or agnostics still believers, therefore they want to label everyone on the Earth as belonging to a religion... Can you bring some clarity in this? |
Depends on people's definition of religion and religious.
If religion = ritual and ceremony; then I am not religious.
If religion = daily reliationship with the God of the universe, then I am religious.
If atheism = believing in a higher power (an unknown atheistic process) that created our entire universe and us, then atheism = religious.
If religious = ceremony and ritual, then atheism is not = religious.

In Matthew 27:50-53, he says that as soon as Christ "gave up his spirit", the tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life...and went to the holy city and appeared to many people". Why is this not mentioned by John, Luke, and Mark? And why did this not have an impact among the disciples and the people of Jerusalem? |
The methodology behind this question is flawed.
1. If Matthew mentions something and John,Luke,Mark do not, that is not evidence that the event did not happen.
2. The event did have an impact among the disciples -- that is why Matthew mentions this.

Pascal's wager works best for Christianity.
All other religions depend on us earning our way to "heaven" (whatever form they believe in) by doing good deeds and avoiding bad deeds.
So if I am a committed Christian, by obeying Jesus, I am automatically doing good deeds and avoiding bad deeds.

The Reformers rejected the Papacy, they also rejected the teaching authority of the Catholic Church. They instead turned to the Bible as the rule of faith. It was proposed that the interpretation would be left up to the individual reader, as guided by the Holy Spirit. The problem is that the reality this hasn't worked at all. If this were true, then everybody's interpretation would be the same, since God cannot teach error. But look at the reality. There are thousands of different Christian Denominations with different beliefs. Even the Reformers weren't of the same mind on things. |
Yes...
However, proper interpretation of some passages of the Bible requries an understanding of the historic-grammatic-cultural context...
Yes there are many denominations, but any of them that accept the Bible as the Sole Rule of Faith subscribe to a common core of doctrines. They differ no minor doctrines, not major doctrines.

Some do. Many dont.
Jesus talked about the farmer (who sows seed; i.e., the gospel) and the seed (the gospel) falls on four different kinds of ground.
One kind is hard ground -- temptations come along and take the seed (of the gospel) away.
Another kind is rocky ground; another is full of thorns and weeds -- the cares of life, and/or persecution come along and the faith of the person withers away.
The fourth kind is fertile soil -- the gospel is heard and trust in God (and daily relationship) is developed.. that kind of person does not fall away from their relationship with the Christian God.
People raised in church are like the four kinds of soil above. Only one (of the four kinds) will stay in continued relationship with God.
This comes as no surprise to God (or to Christians who know this parable).

Think about it. Whichi one is the real god and why! When Jesus died in cruxifition not a lot of pleople believed in Christianity, and those who did were persecuted. After a few hundreds of years later most of the people believed in Christianity and those who didn't were persecuted (crusades). Now, that was going on in Europe, but in the Americans people believed in different Gods. Spanish armies conquered most of the Americas and killed those who didn't believed in Christianity. Now, Egypt had different Gods as well (Ra for example). And Asia had their own believes as well. Now, most of the world believes in Christianity because our ansesters were forced to believe on it or were killed. But, what would had happened if worlds would not had collide? My point is, it depends in our background to define our God. |

How many good deeds does a person have to do to get into heaven? And, how many bad deeds will keep them out? |
If you have never ever sinned in your life you are guaranteed heaven.
One sin, will break that guarantee.
Alternatively, you can commit your life to Jesus Christ (and live in obedience to him) in which case you are saved based on what Jesus has done for us on the cross.

John

If we commit our lives to Christ, we can live forever with the Christian God...

Isn't that the only unforgiveable sin? but what is it? |
Habitual rejection of God.
A lifestyle of habitual rejection of God and living in sinful rebellion against the Christian God.

The sound of one hand clapping :)
The sound of a tree falling in a forest and there is no one to hear it :)
The sound of the nails going into the wrists of Jesus Christ as he was crucified. (I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ... e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/... ).

So if atheist say we are an empty shell, with no purpose or after life. Why are so many people afraid to die? or what is the significance of your life? |
If there is no after life, there is no ultimate purpose to our lives.
Fortunately there is evidence for the existence of God (and hence the afterlife)... E.g., For scientific and intellectual evidence for the existence of God, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/godsci/evidence.html

Lets stop beating around the bush and face this question head on. Is there really a supream being watching over us and listening to our prayers or is all horse **** ? |
yes there really is a God (the Christian God).

Yes.
Due to human sinfulness as described in the Bible.
When a person is Living in daily relationship with the God of the Universe (based on what Jesus did for us on the cross), deception disappears. This means that the person is living in total commitment to Jesus Christ (and truly obeying his commandments).
For a brief explanation of how to come into relationship with the God of the Universe, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/new/essence.html

Creationists keep talking about how the theory of evolution is just a theory because we werent there and we have "no proof". How can they say that their theory, that God created mankind, is the truth? They always want to shove the "truth" in other peoples faces but when scientists come out with a theory they go "no that's wrong, this is how it is". |

How about if it was out of defense, and it just happened? Or what if it was for revenge? How about pure anger? How about all of these together? Answers Please! |
If the person sincerely repents and turns away from his past behavior and commits his life to Christ, he will be saved.

Self-sacrificial love (Agape in the New Testament).
The greatest embodiment of such self-sacrificial love is the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross (for our sins).
